The NJ based comedic duo of McDonald and Carney have begun a local comedy tour with the anticipated final destination of IRELAND next April. McDonald and Carney have been performing their heralded Two Man Act all over New Jersey and the East Coast for the past few years. After making it to the Finals of the Tropicana Talent Contest in Atlantic City, Rich McDonald and Joe Carney have performed at the Trump Taj Mahal twice, The SoHo Playhouse in NYC, Broadway Comedy Club and various hotels and resorts.
Inspired by their Irish-American roots and the great Irish venues in the area, Rich and Joe came up with the idea for McLAUGH-in Tour. The comedy tour will focus on a new Irish based venue every month until April 2018, when the tour concludes with various dates in Ireland. So far, venues in Dublin and Kilkenny have been locked down.
Joining McDonald and Carney on this journey will be stand-up comedians Jackie Byrne and KP Burke. Both stand-up comics have a great local following and are regulars on the NYC and NJ comedy scene. KP has been seen at The Stand in New York and Jackie has performed at Greenwich Village Comedy Club.
The local part of the tour started at The Kilkenny House in Cranford. Next stop was The Shillelagh Club in West Orange. Both shows were sold out and had incredible, receptive audiences. Next stops include Molly Maguires in Clark, The Shillelagh Club in Belmar and more. You can follow the tour by checking out www.McDonaldandCarney.com.
