Rich Vos at the Crossroads in Garwood, NJ

vos2The new Comedy Series at Crossroads in Garwood has put together a show to put them on the local comedy map! The next big show scheduled at Crossroads will feature national headliner Rich Vos. The show, being held on Thursday November 7th at 8:00pm, will also showcase Natty Bumpercar and feature “The Steam Roller of Comedy” Rich Carucci.

Garden State Comedy will be giving away 2 FREE Tickets to the show. Entry is free by signing up for the GardenStateComedy electronic newsletter. Rich Vos will be making his only local comedy appearance for a while. Rich is famous for his two Comedy Central Half-Hour Specials and he has appeared in two other Comedy Central specials. He was a regular guest on “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn,” and has been a regular guest on “The Opie and Anthony Show” for the past 10 years. Vos has appeared on HBO, Showtime, Starz, “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” NBC’s “American Dreams” and “The View.” He is also a regular on the Joy Behar show, made three appearances at the Apollo, four appearances on BET, and was the first white comic to perform on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” He also wrote for the 2005 Oscars, and has appeared on and wrote for many roasts.

The Crossroads Comedy Series has already featured Jeff Norris, Dustin Diamond (aka Screech) and Kevin Garifo in recent months. Upcoming scheduled shows include Michael Winslow (Police Academy) on December 5, The Comedians At Law on January 16, and the Garden State Comedy’s Jersey All-Stars on November 21. Murder Mystery Comes to Bloomfield!

MurderMysteryThe New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts is excited to announce “MURDER AT THE ACTING SCHOOL”, a fundraiser for NJSDA. The evening will be “dinner theatre” style at Senoritas Restaurant in Bloomfield, and the audience will be part of the show! They will be helping the characters, who will be interacting with the audience, to try to figure out, “whodunit”!

The actors for the performance, are members of NJSDA’s Improv Troupe, “NUTTY BY NATURE”, who has been making audiences laugh throughout the metropolitan NY/NJ area for the past 15 years. In addition to having performed at The NJ Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), The South Street Seaport,12 Miles West, Theater Under the Stars,The Black River Playhouse, Luna Stage, Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores; they were featured on the E! Television/Style Network’s reality TV series, Try My Life. The Herald News called them “Bawdy, brilliant and proof that ingenuity can strike at a moment’s notice”.

Performers include include Paul Acocella of Oldwick, Elaine Brodie of Caldwell, Jody Eiden of Wyckoff, Laura Hartin of Montclair, Matt Hopkins of Elmwood Park, Robin Lewis of Livingston, Rich McDonald of West Orange, Paul Barca, Tarek Salib and Charles Tsocanos of Bloomfield, Jackie Valeo of Saddle Brook and Ted Wrigley of West Orange.
